Miss Maggie’s Kitchen Recipe

To get 1 Affogato

  • 1 espresso
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 150 gm roasted pistachios
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • cinnamon pinch
  • Hill Sprinkle


Put the pistachios and sugar in a pan over a low heat, stirring constantly. The sugar will dissolve slowly. Cover the pistachios well and then mash them on a sheet of butter paper.

In a glass, put a spoonful of vanilla ice cream, sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, then pour coffee on it.

Crush a few pistachios and sprinkle them all over.

Grapefruit and rosemary cocktail recipe

for 2 cocktails

  • 120 ml water
  • 120 gm brown sugar
  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 grapefruit (+1/4 for garnish)
  • Citrus-flavored sparkling water (or plain)
  • Few ice cubes
  • my choice: 50 ml of vodka per cup

Pour water and brown sugar into a saucepan over low heat and add 2 sprigs of rosemary. Leave on low heat for two minutes, then set aside and leave to soak and cool.

Take out the rosemary from the drink. Put ice cubes in the glasses and then pour 2 tablespoons of the syrup into each glass.

Pour the juice of half a grapefruit into each glass. Add a little sparkling water and mix.

For garnish, put a sprig of rosemary in each cup.
Cut a quarter of the grapefruit into pieces and caramelize them with a little brown sugar in a skillet. Add two or three to each cup.

rest 15 minutes
Serve very chilled.
