GIANT Offers Free Online Cooking Classes This Winter Led by Dietitians | food

Carlisle – Whether you have a New Year’s resolution to work on or you want to bring something new to the table, The GIANT’s team of nutritionists are ready with a series of virtual nutrition classes. January’s theme is to strike more balance; February shows your heart extra love.

All classes are free and will be hosted via ZOOM.

Foodie fun for young chefs and families

On Mondays at 10:30 a.m., young chefs aged 6 and under will enjoy a story and create nutritious snacks from polar bear bread to insect fruit cups and penguin bread.

Bring the whole family together in the kitchen for some baking fun on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. January, and classes feature frozen fun with Olaf’s personal pizza and Elsa’s frozen berry cookies, or bake red velvet sugar cookies and homemade quick pastries. Made in February.

From health workshops every Monday at 7 p.m. to healthy weight-control choices every Wednesday at 12 p.m., GIANT’s nutrition experts are ready to help you rethink those decisions.

To help families on those busy nights, Dietitians’ freezer meal prep classes Thursday at 12 p.m. will bring you recipes for baked Greek pasta, beef teriyaki, and broccoli.

Show your heart extra love

February is Heart Month, and the nutritionists at The GIANT Company have classes scheduled throughout the month to showcase tips and recipes to nourish your body, mind, and soul!

On Mondays at 7 p.m., learn more about heart health and how sodium, fiber, and fat can all play a role.

I love potatoes every Tuesday at 12 noon with recipes for sweet potato, kale, and mashed potato burgers with feta cheese.

Dietitians can also help you pump nutrients into your family’s pantry with suggestions for cooking with canned foods, dried beans, and universal grains.
