Many of us have a nice neighbor or good friend (or vice versa!) who asks you this season: “Do you like apples?”. I hardly said yes you would get a 3kg box!

Well, we love apples…but we have to help ourselves! We asked you what it was Your best recipes to refuse apples in all their formsEspecially to avoid spoiling it!

You’re assembled: Nothing is easier than making applesauce. Many shared their recipes with us.

For 800 grams of apples, you will need 150 grams of sugar, 2 pods of vanilla and 10 cl of water.

  • Peel the apple and cut it into pieces and core.
  • In a saucepan, bring water to a boil with sugar and peeled and broken vanilla beans.
  • When the water boils, add the apples.
    Cook over low heat for twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Mix more or less finely, depending on the texture you want to give your compote.

You can add more or less sugar to your taste, replace the vanilla with cinnamon, lemon and orange zest … In short, the compote, we cook it as we want!

How to store apples correctly?

Put the apples in an open box that allows air to pass through;
spread the fruits so that they do not touch each other (it will prevent them from contaminating each other);
Store in a cool, hygienic place away from light.

Evelyn offered us Very easy crumb recipe :

for 4 bowls

  • 2 apples
  • 40gm soft butter
  • 40 grams of flour
  • 40 gm ground almonds
  • 60 gm brown cane sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Preheat the oven to 190 degrees
  • Prepare the crumb dough by hand by mixing the flour, almond powder, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
  • Knead until you get a crumbly dough.
  • Peel the apple and cut it into thin slices.
  • Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Elodie gave us to. she described it for Jelly made from peels, cores, and even seeds…because nothing was lost!

  • Cooking 1: the amount of water as the peel, about 45 minutes of cooking. Then filter through cheesecloth or strainer. Weigh the juice, add 60% by weight in jelly sugar or classic sugar.
  • Cooking 2: 25 minutes. Then add the classic sugar agar (leave about 6 grams of agar-agar 1 liter of juice) and re-cook, stirring, for 3 minutes at a low boil.
  • Pour the boiling into the pots and repeat for 5 minutes.

Did you know we can Make… Apple Butter ! Little did we know, it was Elodie again who suggested the idea to us… and it seemed to have had little effect on the table! It comes to us from Canada…so it has maple syrup in it. We discovered the recipe on kitchenAZ.com

You will need: 750 grams of apples, 60 grams of butter, 2 tbsp. tablespoons maple syrup or agave syrup, vanilla powder (optional)

  • Peel and core the apple and cut it into thin slices.
  • Put apple slices, maple syrup, and a pinch of vanilla powder in a saucepan, mix and cover.
  • Heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Your apple slices should be able to be mashed with a fork and there should be no juice left at the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour the contents of the saucepan into the blender, add the butter and mix as well as possible.
  • Pour the preparation into pre-grated jars.
  • Let the apple butter cool and store it in the refrigerator.

As a dessert or to accompany a savory dish, baked appleIt is fast and easy to implement. Here is the recipe Stefan gave us:

Just in the oven (15-30 minutes depending on the variety) with a little icing sugar. Serve warm with a scoop of apple or vanilla ice cream, all grilled with calfa. Fast, easy and delicious.

As you understand, a guard apple can be cooked in a thousand ways … and it is up to you to let your talent do the talking … and reward yourself !
