Mike Tyson roars in the latest training shots

Mike Tyson revealed that he once decided to get rid of his girlfriend after she killed and boiled one of his beloved birds.

Iron Mike is famous for his love of pigeons, which stems from his childhood when he used to keep them as pets during his stay in New York.

So when his ex-partner suggested they cook and eat one of the birds instead of keeping them, he was understood to be against the idea.

Tyson said he was at her house so he couldn’t stop her from boiling the bird, but he refused to eat it, and soon after, he ended the relationship.

When asked on the Boomer & Carton radio show in the US if he’s ever eaten a pigeon, he replied, “I tried. I tried.”

“I was dating this young lady and she said, ‘I don’t know why you are flying these damn birds, you should eat them. “

“I just happened to pick one up and – cook one and start eating it. And I just couldn’t do it.

“It wasn’t the right thing to do. That’s why she’s no longer my woman.”

This isn’t the first time Tyson has had a bad reaction to someone abusing one of his feathered friends.

He revealed that the boxer in his youth got into a fight with a bully when they provoked him by picking up a pigeon and killing him with his bare hands.

Tyson explained, “The man tore off a pigeon’s head. That was the first thing I loved in my life, a pigeon.”

“It was my first time punching me. I’ve loved pigeons since I was nine. It was my escape.

“I was fat and ugly. The kids were teasing me all the time. The only joy I had was the bathroom.”

He once tossed a litter box to the ground when he threw a box containing the carcass of his favorite pigeon, which had just died, into a crusher.

“One morning I woke up and found my favorite pigeon, Julius, dead. I was devastated and I would have used his cage as a bat to honor him,” Tyson said.

“I left the bin on my station and went in to get something and came back to see the sanitation worker putting the bin into the breaker.

“I rushed at him and grabbed him in the temple with his giant right hand! He was cold, convulsive on the floor.”
