Today on the menu is a quick and easy recipe for a delicious sugary and chocolate candy (and small pomegranate seeds to add fruit and crunch)!

This recipe is made with Skyr’s natural, organic Gaborit (can be found in organic stores).

What is Skyr? Skyr is a filtered yogurt that has a thick texture and is very high in protein and fat free. It is eaten for breakfast, as a snack with fresh fruit or muesli and for various desserts such as the recipe for a cup of pomegranate and chocolate! Skyr is a particularly good alternative to heavy cream in sweet or savory recipes.

Skyr Gaborit privacy? It’s made of Fresh organic milk from 100% French Jersey cows. According to traditional recipe Which gives it a delicious flavour, free from acidity, and a thick texture that melts in the mouth.

Jersey cow milk is rich in minerals, vitamins and proteins, and naturally contains less lactose. The traditional processing of this high-quality milk results in a delicious yogurt with a unique taste and smoother texture.

Maison Gaborit produces Skyr using the same traditional processing techniques used in the manufacture of yogurt and confectionery:

  • slow pasteurization in bath mary
  • Non-standardized and heterogeneous organic milk
  • Only fresh and fermented milk: no milk powder added.
La Maison Gaborit also offers Organic Skyr Peach Apricot, a fruity alternative to regular SKYR, made with simple, natural ingredients and 100% organic French sun-kissed fruit, with no added sugar (only sugar from the fruit preparation).
