Sports, sun and humor, the recipe for success of Trail du Pot du Monde, at Bluegonvillain – Bluegonvillain

Running in Brittany, at the end of the world, along one of the most beautiful harbors out there, that’s what 1,500 lovers of wild coastal trails do, this Sunday, July 10, 2022, between Blouzanne and Pointe Saint-Matte, in Plougonvillain. The Trail du Bout du Monde (TBM) was once again a huge success, both for the participants and the fans, who followed the race throughout the track.

Extreme heat for some living things

The 57-kilometre solo and duo race, which began at 8 a.m. from the Belosani track, was followed by a 37-kilometre run, about an hour later. With more sun than the present, like the day before, Sunday’s march was tough for some organizations. At the Betty Menow lighthouse, a few kilometers later, the colorful hoop of the trail runners had already faded, and only a few men were on site, including 57km winner Jonathan Parisi. The runners, who chained heights and cliffs and trampled on a few apartments to revive themselves, swallowed kilometers bordering the picturesque landscape, between land and sea.

tired but happy

Perhaps the most difficult part, morally, of the 57 kilometres, is when that of the 37 kilometres, towards the finish line, at the foot of the Saint-Matteo lighthouse, when the first towns still have to swallow a few kilometers by doing the same loop as the day before (20 how much). “But, in the end, what a joy to cross that legendary finish line. Cramps or not, we did! And thanks to all the volunteers! Two runners smiled.

Tired, but happy, they finished this sixteenth edition of the Instrumental Instrument making machine, a true midway reference. “When you say you won the apocalypse, you are good!” confirms Bruno Dessarbois, TBM Secretary.
