The Culinary Arts program will prepare individuals with little or no industry experience for entry-level and secondary-level food service positions with the potential for rapid promotion. The curriculum covers a diverse menu of options, from artisan bread and pastries to international cuisine classes, and focuses on increasing contact hours for the lab, providing a realistic experience in an urban location within the framework of innovation, sustainability and accessibility.

The Culinary Arts program emphasizes the importance of hands-on learning with over 1,000 hours in the kitchen, graduates of the program will be equipped with an expanded level of kitchen experience compared to graduates of other similar programs in the region.

Students will develop skills to aid menu development and product development which in turn will assist them in their career advancement beyond entry-level positions. Building on the model set by the nation’s greatest culinary schools, the student experience will include a café, restaurant, banquets, events and commercial food production – many of which will be publicly accessible.
